Pretty happy overall with the car. Good power and comfort. Good aircon/climate-control. Fuel consumption not that great, about 16L/100Km with my daily mix of city and highway.

Problems during ownership

• Rattle in steering wheel. One of the springs from the steering wheel knobs came loose and was rolling around inside steering wheel. Fixed at servicing.

Problems present at trade-in 4 years later:

• Squirters only dribbling. System seemed to be blocked up
• Plastic surround of auto gearstick had bubbled/cracked. Replacement part was going to cost $80 plus like 3 hours install ouch! ( you have to disassemble the entire centre console )
• Sometimes shuddering brakes - apparently pretty common fault on BA, discs needs machining
• Broken bonnet release handle - another common fault apparently
• Tyres pretty much had the gong, had 45000Km though so that's OK
• Rubber strip around rear passenger door was loose
• Bit of rattling coming from under car at idle, one of the heat shields might have been loose perhaps
